First up is my new camera case in a REALLY bright purple (Simply Soft Collections Grape, I believe). I messed around with it for a couple hours before I settled on a stitch and design I liked.
Ta-dah!
Also, remember that star I just posted about? Well I took this boring old clock we had and changed the face to a little patchwork of my scrap paper! Wouldn't it have been a shame to toss out all those huge pieces of lovely paper? Here comes Stingy Stitcher to the rescue!

Click if you want to see the camera case pattern!
You will need:
- Worsted weight yarn
- G hook
Obviously, this pattern can be modified to better fit your camera's width.
Special stitch: dc3tog. *Wrap yarn over hook, insert hook into next stitch, yo, pull yarn through (3 lps on hook), yo, pull through two loops (2 lps on hook). Repeat from * in each of next two stitches (you have worked over three stitches), (4 lps on hook). Yo, pull through all lps on hook.
Ch 17.
R1: 2 dc in fourth ch from hook (ch-3 counts as first dc). 1 dc in each of next 3 chs. 2 dc3tog over next 6 chs. 1 dc in next of 3 chs. 3 dc in last ch. (14 dc)
R2: Ch 3 (counts as first dc), turn. 2 dc in first st. 1 dc in each of next 3 sts. 2 dc3tog over next 6 sts. 1 dc in next of 3 sts. 3 dc in last st. (14 dc)
Repeat R2 until your piece is the desired length. Fold to the shape you want. Sc pouch closed from lower right corner, around edge of the flap, and down the other side of the pouch. You're done!
Thanks for joining me, guys!

LOVE the clock and the bag! I was thinking, why put numbers? It's so cute without it and unless you are teaching a child to tell time, I'd leave it. OR... another idea, my mother got a tile clock for her retirement and the numbers were scattered randomly (just a few:2,5,7,8,12) and then the word "Whatever..."! SO CUTE!!!
ReplyDeleteI agree with JessieMomma! Why put numbers or dots or anything? It's so pretty as it is! Don't mess with perfection :)
